A Weekend of Professional Training in the San Francisco Bay Area
AMINO ACID THERAPY:
ELIMINATING NEGATIVE EMOTIONS AND FALSE APPETITES THAT
BLOCK HEALING
| This training will provide specific tools for identifying and correcting the critical deficits in the mood- and energy- appetite, regulating chemistry of the brain and body that are causing our epidemic rates of depression, anxiety, fatigue, over-stress, insomnia, pain intolerance, and addiction to refined carbohydrates.

The Core Training, Day One
Using the successful holistic strategies that have been developed over the last 19 years at the instructor's California clinic trainees will learn to:
- Recognize which of four key neurotransmitter deficits - in serotonin, catecholamine, GABA, or endorphin- is generating a particular false mood, false appetite, or other health problem.
- Target the amino acids that can quickly raise particular neurotransmitter levels, dose them appropriately, and monitor their effects.
- Eliminate cravings for refined sweets and starches to normalize weight and blood sugar status and to prevent diet-related degenerative disease.
- Observe symptom assessment interviews with volunteers and witness their quick responses to amino acid trials.
- Use dietary strategies to maintain optimal neurotransmitter levels after the aminos are no longer needed.
- Identify contraindications to certain aminos and appropriate trouble-shooting strategies.
- Eliminate your own personal negative moods and cravings for sweets, starches, caffeine or other addictive substances by assessing your own deficiency symptoms and using amino acids yourself during the training.
The Advanced Training, Day Two*
- Develop confidence and skill in the use of amino acid therapy in specific cases.
- Compare symptom-based neurotransmitter assessment with urine, blood, and cerebrospinal fluid testing.
- Provide alternatives to antidepressant drugs and eliminate drug withdrawal symptoms.
- Explore in-depth issues in neurotransmitter restoration e.g.,
- 1) The use of exercise, light, and supportive nutrients such as SAM-e, B6, and zinc.
- 2) How to recognize and overcome neurotransmitter restoration hurdles such as Pyroluria
- 3) The use of IV Amino Acids
- Identify how thyroid, adrenal and sex hormone imbalances can impact neurotransmitter function.
- Learn how successful treatment of problems such as abnormal cortisol output, PCOS, diabetes, thyroiditis, and mercury toxicity can make complete neurotransmitter restoration possible.
